Club Equipment

The Club has dinghies, kayaks and beginner windsurfing equipment which are free for members to use. Please note that Club equipment cannot be taken outside of the creek (past Mundon Point) unless there is safety boat cover available.

Kayaks

The Club has 11 single sit-on and 1 double sit-on kayak which are stored under the Club veranda. If using the kayaks please observe the following:

  • Do not drag the kayaks along the floor, especially on the jetty which is very abrasive. Trollies are available under the veranda to help transport the kayaks to the water.
  • Launch and return to the jetty from the sides so as not to scrape along the jetty or ensure you are at least knee deep in the water before getting on the kayak and get off in knee deep water when returning.
  • Wash down after use. The switch for the wash down water is in the lobby above the door to the race box.
  • Ensure the storage area under the veranda is locked whilst you are out on the water and after returning the kayaks.

Windsurfers

The Club beginner windsurfing equipment is stored in the sail loft. There are 2 beginner boards and 3 sails, including a children's sail.

  • The sails are stored rigged but with the downhaul and outhaul released. To set the sail for use pull the downhaul and outhaul on fully - the mast extension or boom length have been set correctly and should not be altered.
  • The mast foot is stored on the board. It may be necessary to swap over the mast foot from the other board depending on which sail is used.
  • Wash down boards and sails after use. The switch for the wash down water is in the lobby above the door to the race box.
  • Ensure the sail loft is locked whilst you are out on the water and after returning the equipment.
